The Office of the Attorney General provides part-time law clerk opportunities for current law students.
Our law clerks perform a wide variety of tasks such as preparing legal documents, conducting legal analysis, and conducting research. Often, our law clerks will prepare draft opinions for cases that will act as the foundation for lawyers and judges. They will also help during the course of an action by preparing for a case and examining legal documents such as petitions, legal complaints, and affidavits.
The extent of each task will be determined by the division for which the student clerks. You can review a description of our departments and individual divisions here. Please note that our Investigations Division does not have any attorneys and as such is not open for clerkships, but our Justice attorneys prosecute the cases that are investigated by our office.
If you are interested, please submit an application for a Clerkship with our office by visiting this link. We look forward to reviewing your application! If you have any questions about our office, our Clerk Program, or the application process, please feel free to contact us at AGHR@agutah.gov.
